波鸿德国矿业博物馆的四次大型游览面积近8000平方米，展出1750件物品，以各种方式展示了采矿的历史。

From underground! This is (almost) only possible at the German Mining Museum in Bochum. In the performance mine, you will get a real underground experience. The rope riding simulator makes you feel like driving 1200 meters deep into the earth.

Once you reach the bottom, the real underground temperature is waiting for you. After that, you can cool off in the winding tower of the 71-meter-high museum-including the magnificent panoramic view of Bochum.

新建筑反映了采矿场的横剖面：结实、较暗的黑色立方体内嵌入明亮的通道和矿井。立面粗糙、黑色表面的设计灵感来自煤炭。通道的颜色范围较广，从白色到浅橙色，再到深红色。这座建筑看起来像是直接从矿场截出来的一部分，一条从内至外的清晰通道避免了任何死角的产生。

The new building reflects the cross section of the mining field: a solid, dark black cube with bright channels and mines embedded in it. The design of the rough and black facade was inspired by coal. The color range of the channel is wide, from white to light orange to deep red. The building looks like a part cut directly from the mine, and a clear passage from the inside to the outside avoids any dead ends.
