But what exactly is "joy"? Joy is your ability to experience a sense of well-being in any given situation. BMW is known for its slogan "Pure Driving Joy", but JOY is much more than that. The goal of VAVE's three major interactive experiences is to convey the joy of the brand in multiple dimensions, thus truly distinguishing BMW from other brands.

BMW's marketing team was looking for a scalable concept that would communicate something that would inspire joy in many different environments. To achieve this, VAVE has come up with three modular experiences that can be used flexibly in many different settings and contexts – from trade shows to showrooms and even inside dealerships. The resulting concept offers designs for small, medium and large budgets, spaces and audiences.

The visitor's "particle avatar" is displayed on a hidden screen that first appears as a mirror. Interaction is not hidden within booths; rather, it is set on a stage, making the experience social and shareable in nature. But that's not all: 3D imagery can be used to personalize and bring to life exhibits in other areas of the space, as well as digital representations of visitors, creating multiple memorable experiences. Visitors will even receive scanned copies of each, which they can share on social media.

Featuring haptic elements such as haptic materials, motion sensing technology for interaction and digital content, the "Presenter 4.0" concept combines the physical and digital realms to provide an educational, engaging and immersive experience.

In addition to the gesture controls that many users may already be familiar with, Presenter 4.0 features an innovative ShyTech interface. ShyTech is a technology that is not easy to identify. In this case, the touchscreen is hidden behind a translucent fabric. This capability, along with other sensory inputs such as speech recognition, seamlessly blends the digital world with reality. Additionally, Presenter 4.0 uses the same technology as Photo Booth 2.0, enabling it to 3D scan people and make their avatars part of the exhibit. The concept is also fully modular, meaning it can be adapted to spaces of different sizes.

As visitors take their seats and buckle up, the entire room begins to change. An immersive LED wall creates a sense of time travel. Wind turbines can even simulate driving speeds. After the exciting show, the doors opened to reveal the M8 in reality. Visitors are then invited to inspect the cars for themselves. Finally, the bar offers guests a refreshing drink, giving guests the opportunity to relax while immersing themselves in the experience and exchanging impressions of the car.
